Tara Sad is a Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing the Cheshire 2nd District since 2006. In 2009, Representative Sad co-sponsored house bill 496 to rescind the Public Utilities Commission cost recovery methodology in regards to the Merrimack Station generation facility. Testimony during the hearing on this bill stated that Representative Sad's bill would have cost up to 1,300 jobs in the state of New Hampshire. The bill was subsequently voted inexpedient to legislate in committee and by the house.
